How Our Cancellation and Refund Policy Works
Customers may enroll in Identity Guard services through either monthly or annual subscriptions. Some services may also include free trials. Our refund policy varies depending on the type of service for which you originally enrolled.
I’m enrolled in a monthly subscription and would like to cancel. When can I cancel and will I receive a refund?
You may cancel your Identity Guard service at any time. Cancellations will be processed promptly and refunds are not provided, but you will continue to have access to your account for 30 days after cancellation.
I’m enrolled in Privacy Now with a monthly subscription and would like to cancel. When can I cancel and will I receive a refund?
You may cancel your Identity Guard Privacy Now service at any time, however refunds aren’t provided. Cancellations are processed at the end of your billing period and you’ll have access to your account until the last day of your billing period. However, if one or more of the services cannot be fully installed and you have not been billed, your service will be cancelled and you will no longer have access to your account.
I’m enrolled in an annual subscription and would like to cancel. When can I cancel and will I receive a refund?
If you are enrolled in annual memberships, you’ve pre-paid for an entire year of service. However, you may cancel at any time and you’ll receive a refund for the unused portion of your membership fee calculated by month, plus applicable taxes. For example, if you cancel your annual subscription with three (3) months remaining, we will refund you the fee for those remaining three (3) months, plus applicable taxes. If the refund amount is less than $1.00, we will round up the refund to $1.00. You will have access to your account for 30 days after cancellation.
Please note that if you enrolled via telephone, you were charged a $1.00 verification fee on enrollment. The $1.00 verification fee is non-refundable.
How does the cancellation and refund policy work if I cancel during my free trial period?
If you are enrolled in a free trial (for either a monthly or annual membership), you will not be billed until the end of your free trial. As such, you may cancel your service at any time, you won’t be billed, and aren’t eligible to receive a refund. If you initially enrolled in a free trial that has ended, please read the sections for Monthly Subscriptions and Annual Subscriptions for information on cancellations and refunds.
I ordered a one-time product such as an updated single or triple-bureau credit report. Can I get a refund of this fee?
No refund is available for non-subscription products, such as a single or triple-bureau credit report, since the report(s) have been delivered. If the reports are not delivered, you will not be charged.
I am currently enrolled and would like to cancel my service. How do I cancel?
When will I receive my refund?
If you are eligible to receive a refund, it will be credited to the credit card used for payment within one (1) billing cycle.
